Non-resident landlords must comply with RIGL sections 34-18-22.3 (designation of agent) and 34-18-57 (absentee landlord enforcement act) by registering with the RI Secretary of State and filing information with this office. Landlord Support RI will submit all paperwork to the RI Secretary of State and ensure full compliance with the state regulations pertaining to absentee landlords. Landlord Support RI will register your property with the Rhode Island Rental Registry and maintain all communications with the registry to ensure that you stay within compliance. Upon purchase of this service, we will contact you for information about your property to start the process of registration. Registration fee is an annual fee of $120 per unit. Landlord Support RI will coordinate with one of our partner lead inspectors to schedule a lead inspection for the premises. Service fee is $120 per inspection, per unit, and includes one labor hour for a property management team member to be on site at the time of the lead inspection. Landlord Support RI will relay back to the owner the results of the lead inspection. Landlord will need to purchase one order per unit. Service charge does not include the inspection charge for the lead inspector. Lead inspector fee will be charged separately from Landlord Support RI's service fee.
